One Last Goal is proud to offer a “Dear Matthew” scholarship. $1,000 for tuition will be awarded to a student with a demonstrated passion for community leadership, and advocacy of mental health awareness.

“On July 1, 2019 our hearts and lives were forever changed when our son Matthew took his own life after a long battle with his mental health. Matthew, who was a college athlete, suffered concussions while playing his beloved sport, and struggled recovering from post-concussion syndrome. Now, years after the fact, We are so thankful for the outpouring of love and compassion that have been shown to us. One way we have coped is by writing letters to Matthew. We still feel the pain, but we also recognize a bit of hope as we pick up the pieces of our hearts and continue the mental health conversation Matthew so desperately tried to have. Matthew’s goal was to help and serve others. This was his One Last Goal ”
